Bangladesh’s incredible victory in the match against Australia drew praise from around the world as several former cricketers praised the Tigers for their historic feat.
Meanwhile, Australia’s former world cup winning captain Michael Clarke personally greeted Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim over today’s victory against Australia.
In a Twitter message, he wrote to Tigers skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, “Congratulations Buddy. Very happy for you mate.”
The Bangladeshi Test captain made the message public in a Facebook post saying, “Great to have received so many texts after the match but this one stands out. More victories to follow soon in sha Allah.”
Earlier, Clarke expressed surprise with Australia’s defeat but praised Bangladesh neverthless through a tweet. He wrote: Congratulations Bangladesh didn’t think I would be writing this tweet but you need to give credit where credit is due.
