Dhawan, Stokes, Bairstow improve in latest ICC Test Rankings

After the heroic victory over South Africa in the third Test, England’s two hero- Wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow AND Ben Stokes has improved in the ICC Test Rankings significantly.

Bairstow made 36 and 63 runs in the third Test and his side to get emphatic victory. Hence, the English batsman lifted to ninth position in the ICC Test Batsmen Rankings. On the other side, his mate, Ben Stokes who scored 112 and 31 runs in the second innings against South Africa, has claimed up to his career best position. He has been lifted 12 steps to climb up 25th position of ICC Test batsmen Rankings.

The left-handed English allrounder has also seen his improvement in bowling rankings. After taking 3 wickets against the visitors, he has climbed up to 19th position of the ICC Test bowlers Rankings.

Apart this series, India’s dashing opener Shikhar Dhawan who hammered a well-judge 190 runs against the host Sri Lanka in Galle Test, has lifted 21 steps to claim 39th position on the batsmen chart. His mate, R Ashwin also improved in bowlers ranking. He eclipses Sri Lankan Rangana Herath to take the second spot of Bowlers Rankings under his control.

On the all-rounder Rankings, Bangladesh all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan holds the top positions with 431 ratings. He is followed by Ravindra Jadeja,. He is 18 rating points behind than Shakib. Ravichandran Ashwin, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes are claiming the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively of this chart.
