“The main inspiration is my elder brother Emdadullah. Even now he encourages me and inspires me to give my best,” Mahmudullah who recently has completed a decade in international cricket revealed.
Speaking about the overall experience in international cricket he said, “Alhamdulillah, so far so good… If I want to describe the journey I have to say a lot of things, but all I want to say is if I want to achieve the peak I think now is the moment to seize”
However, the 31-year right-handed batsman believes it is the perfect time for him to contribute to the team by performing his best. “I think it’s the right time for me to perform my best and contribute for the team,” he said.
Known as ‘Silent Killer’, Mahmudullah Riyad also talked about the tough phases of this career, though he claimed that it’s difficult to chalk out any specific one as the toughest. “There have been many tough periods in my career; it’s difficult to chalk out any specific one in my small career as there were many ups and downs. So it’s difficult for me to say,” he added.
