Dashing Tigers opener Tamim Iqbal Khan also has been named in the squad. Apart from him five Proteas players, three players from Australia, two from West Indies and  one each from New Zealand and England are in the squad.

Former Zimbabwe captain Andy Flower will coach the ICC World XI and has been assigned to select the squad for the tour.

The first T20I will be played on September 12, the second on September 13 and the last match of the tour is scheduled on September 15; all the games will be hosted by the Gaddafi Stadium.

It should be noted that no Test side has toured Pakistan since March 2009 militants attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus in Lahore, killing six Pakistani policemen and injuring some of the visiting players.

However, low-ranked sides, namely Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, had toured the country for a limited-over series.

World XI touring Pakistan: Faf du Plessis (South Africa) (C), Hashim Amla (South Africa), Samuel Badree (West Indies), George Bailey (Australia), Paul Collingwood (England), Ben Cutting (Australia), Grant Elliot (New Zealand), Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh), David Miller (South Africa), Morne Morkel (South Africa), Tim Paine (wk) (Australia), Thisara Perera (Sri Lanka), Imran Tahir (South Africa), Darren Sammy (West Indies).
