In a recent interview with The Daily Star, Tamim was asked how much has he changed after being dropped from the Asia Cup 2012 squad initially, and later his famous reaction after scoring four consecutive fiftiecom.

“I definitely took a lesson from what happened that time; it wasn’t in my control. Maybe the way I behaved that time… the same situation came in 2015 as well, and if you noticed there was a difference in my behaviour,” he said.

However, Tamim had to gone through similar situation in 2015 as so many critics were raising questions against his position in the Bangladesh team. Although Tamim answered to all of their criticism by coming back to his original form very soon, this time the reaction from him was completely different.

“I might’ve got angry and wanted to prove everyone wrong in 2012, but the change in my reaction was the key when a similar situation came in 2015. It is because I thought wrong in 2012 that I was able to think right in 2015. So that change, I think, was the turning point of my career,” he added.
