Live: Jamaica have to score 143 runs to win over Barbados

Barbados Tridents have set a comparative total of 142 runs for losing 7 wickets at end of allotted 20-over against Jamaica Tallawahs.

Hence, the defending champion have to score 143 runs in the third match of fifth edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to seal their first victory of the campaign.

After winning the toss at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida, Barbados opted to bat first. They started to play solid cricket from the beginning of the innings. Though their innings was a little bit slow from the beginning, they tried to go against the Tallawahs according to their plan.

Top orders did well but all on a sudden, in the middle over of the match, Imad Washim sent back Kieron Pollard and  Barnwell in the same over then Barbados fall behind. Shaib Malik tried his level best and scored 33 runs for his side. After his departure, Wayne Parnell’S 25 alongside Wahab Riaz’s firing 22 off 10 balls helped the Barbados to get a comparative total of 142 runs on the board.

Apart from them, Dwayne Smith added 28 runs while his opening partner Kane Williamson scored 13 runs to lead their side set a target of 143 runs against Jamaica.

Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan bagged 2 wickets 1 wicket by giving 26 runs from his allotted 4 overs. Besides him, Kesrick Williams, Imad Washim and Santokie each took 2 wickets respectively.
