Mahmudullad departs for Caribbean

Tigers all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad who recently has been picked by the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise, Jamaica Tallawahs for the ongoing season of the tournament, has left the country tonight to take a part in the league. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ সিপিএল মাতাতে ক্যারিবিয়ানের পথে রিয়াদ]

The Jamaica Tallawahs have called Mahmudullah Riyad into their squad for the remainder of the CPL 2017 season as replacement for Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim who has been recalled to undergo fitness testing by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The-31 yeard old all-rounder has played 33 Tests, 145 ODIs and 58 Twenty20 internationals for his country and has taken 131 wickets and scoring 5,774 runs in international cricket over his eight-year career. His 102 not out against New Zealand in the recently concluded Champions Trophy helped his team secure a semi-final spot in that tournament.

It will be Mahmudullah’s maiden appearance in the tournament. The final of the CPL will be played on September 9 and Mahmudullah will be available to the Jamaicans for the rest of the tournament.
