Cricketers of preliminary squad of Australia series, are currently featuring in their second intra-squad warm-up match, which has begun from Thursday ahead of the announcement of first match Test squad.
By diving in two teams under Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and his deputy Tamim Iqbal, cricketers of the training camp are featuring in this match. It has been learnt, performance of the match, will be key for the cricketers to grab spot in the squad of upcoming Test series.
Meanwhile, two veteran cricketers of Bangladesh cricket team, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mominul Haque are not playing in the second warm-up match. Which hints the rumor appeared that this two experienced campaigner won’t be a part of Test squad and going to miss the first Test match of the upcoming home series against Australia.
It can be mentioned, First match Test squad of two-match Test series against Australia, will be announced on 19 August.
To be noted, Australia will land in Bangladesh on 18 August. First match of the series between home side Bangladesh and visiting Australia is scheduled to start from 27 August in Dhaka. After that, teams will travel to Chittagong for their last match of the series, which is slated to start from 4-8 September.
