Mahmudullah's Jamaica Tallawahs secures play-offIn the 26th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Jamaica Tallawahs defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 41 runs and thus secured play offs for the season.

Jamaica Tallawahs was sent into bat first by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots after they won the toss. Sri Lanka’s legendary wicket keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara’s dazzling 69 runs took Tallawahs to score 157 runs losing 5 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.

Sangakkara hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. In the late order of the innings, Ricardo Powell made a quick fire knock of 43 runs in 26 deliveries.

In reply, Oshane Thomas and Krishmar Santokie claimed 3 wickets each to restrict St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to a paltry 116 runs, registering a 41 run win.

Mohammad Sami and Karaoke Williams also bagged 2 and 1 wicket respectively. Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad bowled 4 overs, became wicket less conceding 18 runs.

Oshane Thomas was adjudged man of the match. The match was played at the Sabina Park.
