The players will practice for a week in Chittagong including a three-day warm-up match. They will prepare mainly for the Australia series in August-September.

Mashrafe doesn’t play Tests anymore. So, he didn’t need to go to Chittagong and join Mushfiqur Rahim and co. He has decided to warm-up himself in Dhaka with the white ball. His next mission is South Africa tour where Bangladesh will play three ODIs and two T20Is. The tour will start from late September with Test series. The limited-overs series will be in October. Then the Bangladesh Premier League T20 will kick off in November.

Bangladesh’s ODI and Rangpur Riders skipper Mashrafe will prepare himself for the upcoming schedules.

“Mainly the Chittagong camp will have practice sessions with red ball. And I will not play the three-dayer as well. The coach thought of the matter that I won’t be much benefited if I go there. Rather, it’s better for me to continue practicing with white ball in Dhaka.

“Coach told me to practice with HP (High Performance) Unit players. I didn’t have any objection either.  But they have holidays for three or four days. So, I will practice myself at Mirpur,” said Mashrafe.
