Later BCB communicated with former Australian spin spearhead Stuart McGill. According to statements of BCB officials McGill could not accept the proposal at that period of time due to some personal reasons.

In a retweet, answering one of the fans, McGill expressed his disappointment for not being able to join in the work with rising Bangladesh talents.

McGill remarked when he replied to a fan’s message named Omar Nizam who expressed his frustration for not seeing the great Aussie spinner in Bangladesh.

Stuart McGill bagged 208 wickets for Australia playing 44 Test matches. He claimed 12 fifers in his short career. McGill’s best bowling figure is taking 8 wickets in an innings conceding 108 runs.

Prior to the forthcoming series against Australia, Sunil Joshi has joined to work as the new spin coach of Bangladesh.
