Mominul Haque, one of Bangladesh’s consistent Test performer, feels that he doesn’t have any problem with off-spin bowling. He is working hard to get a place in the squad against Australia. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ মুমিনুলের দাবী সমস্যাটা অফস্পিনে নয়]
Mominul was dismissed off off-spinner Dilruwan Perera twice in the Galle Test against Sri Lanka in March this were. There was some claim that he was struggling against off-spinners. But he doesn’t agree with that.
“I don’t think I have any problem with off-spin. I am practicing and working hard with my batting. I got some runs in the first practice match but the innings should have been longer. I am not over thinking about my return to the playing eleven. There is another practice match we have to play. I just want to perform better. The decision is on the team management,” said Mominul.
The ‘pocket dynamo’ started his career brightly. Recently, he has been facing some problem in keeping his consistency. However, he was in brilliant form for the Prime Doleshwar in the Dhaka Premier League 2017.
Mominul scored 73 runs in the three-day warm-up match among the Tigers at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. The second practice match will be played from Wednesday at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
If Mominul gets a chance against Australia, it will be like just another match for him. “It will be like any other match for me. If I play well I will feel good,” he said.
