While talking about his goal in the series, Mushfiqur Rahim said to one of the leading dailies in the country, “I want to win the series leading in every department of the game; this is my target in the upcoming series against Australia whether you take it as a personal or team perspective.”

Bangladesh Test captain marked three challenges for the batsmen against Australian bowlers. To him, tackling the new ball, facing the straight deliveries and managing the spin and reverse swing of Aussie bowlers would be main challenges for the home team batsmen.

“We have been practicing for two months to cope with those challenges. Our batsmen will do better if the new ball would not quickly deployed to swing reversely,” Mushfiqur said.

About the bowlers of Australian team, Mushfiqur Rahim said, “Lyon could be easier to face with lots of footwork. I think if Agar and Swepson would play, they might provide us a whole lot of loose deliveries. Lyon and Hazlewood are match winning bowlers of Australian side – they should be faced carefully.”

Although Australia is quite uncomfortable in the subcontinent wicket, Mushfiqur Rahim thinks the recent series in India will equip the Aussies with more or less familiarity with the condition of Bangladesh.

“In recent past, they have played a long series in India. Although the condition is not that much similar in Bangladesh with that of India, I think Australia will be more comfortable playing here now,” he said.
