Even though Bangladesh got some quick break throughs at the end of the first day’s play, they were still in a tensed mood because of the Aussie captain was still in there to resume in the next day. Thus Steve Smith was the main target at the beginning of the second day’s play. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ মুশফিকের বুদ্ধিতেই কাবু স্মিথ]
At the very morning of the second day of the first Test at the Sher – e – Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Mehedi Hasan Miraz captured Smith with an outstanding flighted delivery.
Later in the day, he discussed the plans made for smith in the press conference. Smith has the tendency to move his legs while batting which disturbs the bowlers. But captain Mushfiqur had an idea for this and he informed Miraz about the plan.
Miraz said, “Mushfiqur told me to bowl round the wicket for which he won’t be able to move his legs properly and will create chances for stumping or catch. I did according to his words and it worked out.”
The spin magic of Bangladesh helped a lot to stop the Aussie batsman from scoring more. Miraz agreed to the fact and he also praised the other bowlers, “The bowlers are doing quite well. No matter how the pitch is, without all the bowler’s contribution it is not possible.”
After the end of the second day he said, “Obviously we are in control of the match and tomorrow is a very important day. I hope our batsman can perform well and we can put up a good score. This will be a big challenge for the opponents.”
