Nafees surprised to see Barisal out

Recently, the governing council of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) have announced that Barisal Bulls will not be able to participate in the upcoming season of the tournament. After hearing such news, Bangladesh batsman Shahriar Nafees has expressed his disappointed and said he was surprised. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ বরিশাল বাদ পড়ায় বিস্মিত নাফীস]

Speaking about that Nafees said, “I am really surprised with that. Barisal (Barisal Bulls) is established team and if they finally won’t be able to play the tournament, I will be disappointed. Because as a Barisalian, I obviously want to play for my home division in the BPL.”

The southpaw also claimed that it would be very disappointing for the Barisal fans if the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing council don’t change their change decision.

“It is definitely disappointing for the Barisal fans as well. I still believe there will be a solution between two parties (BPL GC & Barisal owners).”

Nafees who played all of his previous four seasons of the country’s most popular cricket tournament for Barisal, lastly said his aim was to to play even better cricket in this year’s BPL. “I want to do well in this year’s BPL too. My aim is to play even better cricketer than what I played in the last BPL,” he concluded.
