And there was no exception on the day of Bangladesh bringing down Australia for the first time in Test cricket. At the very last moment of the game, Sheikh Hasina came to the field, and experienced the winning moments of Bangladesh.

Post the match, she personally met all the cricketers and coaching staff of the team as well. Specially one of her pictures with the hero of the game Shakib Al Hasan has already gone viral online, where she is seen sharing some lively moment with the No.1 and also picking his ear.

Later while talking to the media, Shakib has informed how pumped up he and his other teammates had become because of the presence of the country’s Prime Minister.

“She (Sheikh Hasina) likes cricket a lot, and always gives us huge support. Today she came for the same reason. She said to us that she had wanted to come yesterday as well, but couldn’t quite make it because of a busy schedule. She she had wished to come at the last moment of the day’s play, but Papon (Nazmul Hasan) bhai had told her not to come, because she could see only 1-2 overs,” said Shakib.

Then he also explained how the Prime Minister’s presence inspire the whole team, “Such support always provides us with huge inspiration. We get encouragement to do well. The arrival of the Prime Minister means the entire nation is behind us, so we have to play very well and win for them.”
