Police arrest man for threatening team Australia Bangladesh police has arrested the young man from Kotiyadi in the district of Kishorgonj who threatened visiting Australian team through a mail. Australian security officers contacted with police with a copy of the mail.

None of the parties revealed the name of the accused, the mail was supposedly sent to either in the address to one of the members of the Aussie squad or in Australian high commission.

The sub commissioner of Cyber Crime of Police department Mohammad Alimuzzaman acknowledged the incident. He also informed that the accused has been under interrogation to find out the cause.

He said, “The young man has been arrested from Kotiyadi, Kishorganj. He is now under police custody. We are trying to find out the cause of his threat towards the Australian team. We will also find out whether he did it by himself or under anyone’s influence.”

Australia cancelled their scheduled Test series back in 2015 on account of security concerns.
