Bangladesh T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan has left Bangladesh for West Indies on Thursday. He is heading to West Indies to partake in the fifth edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL). [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ পরিবারসহ ঢাকা ছাড়লেন সাকিব]
Shakib Al Hasan alongside with his family left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday night around at 10.15 pm.
Earlier, He was supposed to leave Bangladesh for CPL on 29 July, but due to not getting Caribbean Visa, he had to stay few more days at home. However, finally, he has received his visa on today and off to his destinations.
The number one all-rounder of world cricket will play for the defending champion, Jamaica Tallawahs in this year. He was also a part of Jamaica Tallawahs success in the last season’s CPL as well. He played a total number of 13 matches in 2016 for Jamaica. He scored 160 runs including a unbeaten fifty (54*) with a average of 22.9. He also picked up 12 wickets for his side during his last year mission.
To be noted, this is going to be his third appearance in the history of CPL. In his CPL T20 career, he has been played 21 matches.
It can be mentioned, Shakib Al Hasan’s Jamaica Tallawahs will start their campaign in this edition of CPL from 5 August. Shakib Al Hasan’s availability is uncertain in this match due to his long journey. But he is expected to join with the side on Friday.
