Shakib quicker than Muttiah Muralitharan!

Tigers all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan became the only fourth bowler to take five-wicket hauls against nine different Test playing nations as Bangladesh took an 88-run lead against Australia in the series-opening test on Monday.

Shakib ended the resistance of Pat Cummins, removing him for 25 straight after tea and then took the wicket of Josh Hazlewood to complete the five-for.

Apart from Afghanistan and Ireland, who only got Test status recently, Shakib now has taken five-wickets against all the teams he played against.

There are only four bowlers to have taken five-wicket hauls against nine different Test teams as Shakib Al Hasan has joined Rangana Herath, Dale Steyn and Muttiah Muralitharan in this elite club.

However, Shakib who has 16 five- wicket hauls to his credit, with three coming against Zimbabwe is the quickest to this feat having got there in his 50th Test.

Former Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan who holds the record of picking up highest number of Test wickets, is the second-quickest, completing the set in his 66th Test.
