Jamaica Tallawahs have taken a sweet revenge over Barbados Tridents as they beat them by 12 runs in the double header match.
Bangladeshi allrounder Shakib Al Hasan was the hero of Jamaica’s victory as he contributed both with the bat and ball. After playing unbeaten blistering knock off 44 runs off 32 balls, he picked up a vital wicket to register Jamaica’s victory.
Chasing a target of 155 runs, Barbados could not get a solid start which was required for reaching this total. Jamaican bowlers bowled superbly by maintaining line and length, hence, by going for charging to score quick runs, Barbados used to lose wickets.
They lost top five wickets within the 11 overs in just 52 runs. Then Kieron Pollard foughthard to give his side another victory but other batsmen failed to co-operate him. He tried hard till the 19th over. But, unfortunately got out in the last ball of 19th over. With the his departure, Jamaica Tallawahs cleared their way to get victory. Before getting out, he scored 32-ball 66 runs with 6 sixes and 2 fours.

Mohammad Sami was outstanding with the ball. He bagged 4 Barbados batsmen. Apart him, Shakib, Wasim, Shantokie, Williams everyone picked up 1 wicket each.
Before that, winning the toss, Jamaica Tallawahs put a total of 154 runs for 5 at the end of their innings. After falling in trouble by losing three wickets in Wahab Riaz’s over during the middle period of the innings, Shakib Al Hasan an McCarthy repaired the innings superbly.
McCarthy scored 60 runs off 44 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours, while Shakib played a knock of unbeaten 44 runs off 32 balls to post a total of 154 runs for 5 at the end of their allotted 20-over. Among the bowlers of Barbados, Wahab Riaz grabbed three wickets and he was associated by his mates Rampaul and Parnell, who took one wicket respectively.
