Sri Lanka Sports Minister asks for series loss report against IndiaSports Minister of Sri Lanka Dayasiri Jayasekera has been asked for the series report after the country suffered an embarrassing white wash against visiting India at home. India clinched the series 3-0.

“This team’s capability is not a question but we must know the reasons for the defeat,” he told the reporters and also let know that he discussed the defeat in two-hour meeting.

“We also have to remember that India is the top team in the world, so the defeat has to be seen from that view point too,” he added.

The spectators and people all over Sri Lanka are charging the SLC administration and Thilanga Sumathipala.

The chief selector Sanath Jayasuriya has also been accused to this case. The former Captain Arjuna Ranatunga has also expressed his anger towards Thilanga Sumathipala and demanded for his resignation from the position.

“We can’t change an elected body that can be done only at the next election” Jayasekera said.

“When there were interim committees which ran Sri Lanka Cricket for 8 years, no one complained. It was only this government which took action to hold elections (for the SLC),” Jayasekera said.

Jayasekera believes that he needs to sit with the players very soon and discuss about the past series and also included that a false electoral system cannot be responsible for the downfall of the team.
