Chasing the total of 147 runs scored by Trinbago Knight Riders after batting first, Jamaica Tallawahs passed the score losing 6 wickets with 4 deliveries remaining.
Trinbago Knight Riders suffered their first loss of the season, they rushed into 101 runs for 2 in eight overs and then went through a sickening collapse losing last 8 wickets adding 38 runs. They ended scoring 147 in their 20 overs.
Brendon McCullum, Sunil Narine and Collin Munro shot blistering little knocks to made Knight Riders crossed 100 run mark in the beginning.
With 3 boundaries, McCullum scored 16 off 9 balls, Narine made an 11 ball 23 with 2 fours while Munro scored highest 41 runs in 25 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.
Kesrick Williams and Smith both captured 3 wickets each. In reply, Kumar Sangakkara and Lendl Simmons procured a solid start for Jamaica Tallawahs scoring 61 runs in 5 overs.
Simmons fell in 38 off 18 with 4 fours and 3 sixes. McCarthy also departed in a hurry after that but Kumar Sangakkara hold one end for Jamaica Tallawahs; he missed the half century mark for three runs getting out in 47 (41 balls; 4×7).
Rovman Powell, Shakib Al Hasan and J Foo contributed to facilitate the winning. Powell scored 18 runs off 17 deliveries, Shakib made 16 off 22 while Foo stood for 19 off 11.
