The 28-year-old cricketer had to take four stitches on his stomach after the injury. The injury was caused by broken shards of glasses which injured his stomach. Upon pushing the glass door of the dressing room the glass had broken down altogether. This resulted in Tamim losing his balance and falling down on the broken shards.
Earlier, Tamim described how the injury was happened “The moment I pushed on the door the glass broke entirely. I fell to the ground as well and if anyone saw the state of my pads, they would know how dangerous the accident could have been,” Tamim had said previously.
He also revealed that the injury was not serious and was thankful to Allah that he got off easy from a bad situation. “Thanks to Allah that I got off from such a dangerous situation. The injury is nothing serious, I am just thankful since the situation could have been bad,” he added.
