Tamim said at the press conference in Mirpur on Friday that the Tigers must be spot on to earn a victory against the Aussies. He wants his team to fight every ball of a match.
“To win 2-0, I think we have to do some corrections in small issues before. It’s not like that I’ll say we will win 2-0 and it will happen. I have always said that we have to fight every session, every ball whichever the team wins,” he said.
The southpaw batsman, who is set to play his 50th Test match, believes that the team which will execute the plans on the field will have higher chances of winning.
“I have repeatedly said that we have to execute plans on the field. The team which will execute the plans on the field will have more chance of winning.”
Tamim has informed that the Tigers will aim victory from day one of the first Test at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
“We will try to win both the Test matches as a team. We will think of winning when we take the field on August 27. But the five days of play doesn’t end in one hour. Five-day matches have to be played in five days,” he added.
