Rangpur Riders is preparing themselves quite well before they step into the field. On this May, Bashundhara Group acquired the ownership of Rangpur Riders.

Being the new owner of this team they have already filled themselves up with a number of famous international stars like Chris Gayle, Samuel Badree, Ravi Bopara, Thisara Perera and David Willey has been the latest one to be included.

David Willey has already gained a good experience in T20 cricket both with the bat and the ball. The left handed all-rounder has played for Yorkshire on this year’s county cricket.

He has already played in 135 matches among which he held the bat for his team in 99 of them.

With an average of 24.16 he has scored 1885 runs. Strike rate is the most crucial one for a T20 batsman and Willey holds a strike rate of 144.22. With six 50s and two centuries he has a career best of 118.

On the other hand he also has a strong background with the ball. He owns 132 wicket on 113 innings with a best of 4 wickets for 9 runs.

Rangpur Riders have announced their deal with David Willey on their official Facebook page by naming that if there is any all-rounder to be named icon then that is David Willey.

They also included that after everything this lefty all-rounder is staying with the Rangpur Riders on this year’s BPL.

To be noted, the icon player of Rangpur Riders for this year’s BPL is the ODI captain of Bangladesh Team, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and the franchise confirmed everything with him on 21st July of this month.
