The pacer and his wife are currently in England expecting their first child, with the due date potentially any time over the next week and he wants to be with his wife in this crucial stage.
So, Mohammad Amir’s wait to play an international match infront of the people of his country will be prolonged.
However, if the series goes off without incident, Amir will have a chance soon enough as Sri Lanka are scheduled to play one of their three T20Is against Pakistan in Lahore in October.
Meanwhile, Tigers’ left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal has been selected into the World XI squad to represent Bangladesh in this series and the 29-year old batsman has already left the country for the series. With Amir missing the series, fans won’t be able to see the epic battle between Tamim and Amir.
