Whatever spin friendly wickets Bangladesh prepared to play out Australia at home or not, it will not be of any task in the forthcoming series against South Africa where pitches are likely to be high bouncy and contains pace traditionally.

Team selectors cut out three fast bowlers in the squad before facing the visiting Aussies of whom two were enrolled in the field action, Mustafizur Rahman and Shafiul Islam. In the series deciding Test, the number was even shortened to one. Only Mustafizur was there in the playing eleven.

Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu hinted the squad for South Africa series will be filled with a number of fast bowlers.

“For South Africa series, there will be five pacers in the team with one spinner and the rest of them are batsmen,” he said definitely.

The first wickets of the African country will be the ground of measuring the pace strength of Bangladesh along with the training effort of fast bowling coach Courtney Walsh.
