Hathurusingha got very close to resignation!

The resignation of Chandika Hathurusingha spreaded all around the BCB office not just now but from a pretty long time. Champaka left the job with Sri Lanka cricket board a few days back and joined the HP team to train the future pace bowlers of Bangladesh.

After the departure of Graham Ford, the Sri Lanka cricket team was at the verse of downfall. From Champaka and also from various sources it is known that Sri Lanka is currently targeting their countryman Chandika Hathurusingha to get back as the Sri Lanka cricket have seen a great improvement of Bangladesh under him.

It is also heard that Champaka let BCB know that Hathurasingha hasn’t come to a final decision yet about his future with Bangladesh or Sri Lanka.

Besides, the BCB director Ismail Haider Mallick said that they are very sure about the face that there is no chance of Hathurasingha to leave the team.

BCB is under a contract with Head coach Chandika Hathurusingha till 2019 World Cup.

Mallick believes that Hathurasingha will show his respect towards the contract and will stay with the team till then despite being offered for the Sri Lanka head coach position.

Chandika Hathurasinghe also got an offer to be the Sri Lankan head coach earlier. Back then, the BCB officials convinced him to not leave the contract where he almost decided to leave Bangladesh.

Though it was known that there were some personal issues related to it.

However, everything is at a stake now and BCB is quite confident of keeping Chandika as the head coach for near future.
