ICC to aid Pakistan to back international cricket in the countryThe International Cricket Council (ICC) has agreed to back Pakistan’s effort to resume international cricket at home and said that the highest authority of cricket would provide financial assistance for security needs.

Besides, ICC Chief Executive David Richardson called the series between Pakistan and the World XI an “important stepping stone” for the nation to earn the “confidence of the international sporting community”.

Pakistan is currently hosting a three match T20 series between their side and World XI on the eastern part of their country that is in the city Lahore aiming to resume international cricket on their soil.

“The ICC has already agreed to invest in security and improving the security capabilities for a three-year period,” Richardson said, adding that he would like to see other countries sending their teams to Pakistan.
