Bangladesh’s middle order batsman Mosaddek Hossain has been suffering from eye infection for last few weeks. He took treatment from Bangladesh Eye hospital & Harum Eye Hospital. He went to Thailand too for check-up.
BCB doctor Debashis Chowdhury informed Mosaddek will need 3-6 months to recover. When asked about Mosaddek’s recovery, the doctor said: “Mosaddek will need 3-6 months to recover. Another doctor said he will need 1 year. But we are hoping that he will recover within 3 months.”
He added: “Mosaddek is suffering from eye virus for last few weeks. He has been taken to many doctors for treatment. His recovery speed is slow at the moment. He suddenly becomes 90% good but then again goes 70% bad. But now he is 70% well ”
When asked if Mosaddek can participate in BPL, Debashis said: “In the next month, a board will be formed with eye experts. They will see what is his situation right now. Then we will be able to say if he can play in BPL or not.”
“The doctors of Bangladesh & Thailand said he don’t need any surgery. If he improve in the next month, then there will be no need of any operation,” said by the BCB doctor.
Mossadek, who played 1 Test and 18 ODIs so far for Bangladesh is set to miss the tour of South Africa. If he needs more than 3 months to recover, then the young star will also miss BPL and the Sri Lanka series.
