Mushfiqur denies to usher all credits to the coach

One could allude the appointment of Chandika Hathurusingha as the golden stick to raise Bangladesh cricket, but one of the five senior most cricketers in the team, the Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim apparently denied to hand all credit to the head coach hence he mentioned the experience of top notch cricketers to play vital role in team’s success journey.

While talking prior to the second and last Test against Australia, captain Mushfiqur Rahim said a good team combination has led Chandika Hathurusingha to pick up wins for the team although he acknowledged the coach’s sound role for the team.

Mushfiqur said, “It is true Hathurusingha’s strategies work very well. But it is also need to be noted that senior cricketers like me, Shakib, Tamim and Mahmudullah have been serving the team for last 10 – 12 years.”

“When five to six members of a team continue to perform like this, a team must do well. I think Chandika Hathurusingha has received a good team in a good time.”

Ratifying the works of previous coaches, Mushfiqur also said, “Every coaches who worked for Bangladesh since Dave (Whatmore) have had brilliant contributions for the team and I think Siddons did great job as a batting coach.”

“Chandika provides lots of freedom to new comers which work wonder for young guns because it is often seen young players do wrong under pressure. Letting them play freely facilitates good performance at the end,” Mushfiqur said.
