Nafisa Kamal satisfied with her squad

Comilla Victorians earned the “Champions” title in the 3rd season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). They had a better team in the following season but the equation of the field betrayed them. As a result the Champion of the 3rd season failed to hold the crown consecutively.

Rather the highlighted issue was different of opinion between franchises and team management as well as team captain. To eradicate that awkward situation, the franchise have appointed new team management, new coach and new “Icon Player”.

Instead of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Comilla Victorians have chosen Tamim Iqbal as their new “Icon Player” while Salauddin has been appointed as a new coach instead of Mizanur Rahman Badal.

Comilla Victorians did not only change the team management but also made a very strong team in pen and paper. Imrul Kayes, Liton Das and all-rounder Saifuddin are remaining from the previous season to accompany their new icon Tamim Iqbal.

In foreign qouta they have got Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo from West Indies Hasan Ali, Fahim Ashraf from Pakistan and Rashid Khan, Fakhar Zaman from Afghanistan. This world class players have made Comilla Victorians a top class team to defend this year’s Title.

Nafisa Kamal, one of the rightful owners of Comilla Victorians was seemed to be happy after the players draft. “To get rid of the failure from the last season, their are changes in the team management. To be honest, to make a new strong team mixing the old with some new potential players was our main motive this year”, said Nafisa Kamal.

However, coach Salauddin is keeping his foot on the ground by saying, “Every opponent is stronger than the other. I am quite happy with what I’ve got. The rest will be seen in the field”.
