But before that, another drama was all set to happen as BCB & the team management was about to send Kamrul Islam Rabbi as Rubel’s replacement.
Rabbi, who is playing in the 2nd round of NCL at Khulna had already booked his ticket to Dhaka as the team management told him to do. But in the end, it is not happening for the seamer as Rubel got the clearance.
Rubel is finally relieved and expressed his feelings to the reporters: “I got the clearence. Now I am waiting for my ticket. There was nothing to worry. But looks like I need to change my name as all this drama happened because of the name (laughs).”
When asked how much he suffered these few days, he said: “We all were about to go together. I never thought I have to face such problems. As it happened all of a sudden so I had nothing to say. But now I’m feeling happy as it got solved.”
Rubel couldn’t feature in the practice match which is happening at the moment at Benoni. But the right arm pacer said he can settle in with the condition within few says: “It is a problem that I couldn’t play the practice match. If I could have play I could get idea about the wicket. But I can settle in with the condition in the remaining few days.”
Bangladesh will play their first test match on 28th September and this is all he had to say in the end: “If I get chance, I will definitely give my 100%. In any situation of the match, I want to perform well.”
