“It is exciting. It is bigger than just cricket matches…it is bigger and will play a part in bringing cricket back in Pakistan.” He added.

Sammy did an absolute stunner by winning the maiden PSL title for Peshawar Zalmi and has shared his experience in Lahore and also with his new team mates out there.

“This morning I shared my experience of visiting Pakistan for the PSL final but the fact is that all of them are here is because they have accepted to be a part of this [series],” said Sammy.

“We all are glad to be a part of this process, I know that fans would go crazy in the stadium and we’ll play some good competitive cricket.”

“Everybody here has accepted that they are part of something more important than just themselves. To me, it’s a place where I have a great connection and going back there, like I said through the PSL final, to bring cricket back to Pakistan, if we can be part of history, a greater purpose, it’s a wonderful opportunity.”

The World XI side will play the first match against Pakistan in Lahore on this Tuesday.
