Due to his extraordinary batting display in the very earlier stage of his career Soumya has conquered the hearts of the Bangladeshi cricket lovers. Even the cricket critics from all over the world have started to mark him as one of the most promising youngsters in world cricket.

And the people of Bangladesh had started to address him as the next Tamim Iqbal in Bangladesh team.

But the career of the cricketers have never been a one-way road and very certainly they go through many ups and downs. The good days or the dream days of Soumya Sarkar had also come to an end soon.

And recently he is struggling a bit with his form. Although he is getting runs sometimes, failed to continue it regularly. In fact his way of getting out has become a hot tea table discussion topic.

He is getting the start but unfortunately he is failing to utilize it every time! His team-mate as well as the opening partner Tamim Iqbal has also talked about it.

Although Tamim is not happy with the way of Soumya’s getting out, he requests everyone to keep faith on Soumya.

Tamim Iqbal, the highest run scorer of Bangladesh cricket history said – “It was simply a costly mistake. I think if Soumya didn’t play the shot like this the scenario could be different. I always advise him to avoid such mistakes.”

“Besides you may say that it was the plan of the team management. Actually they were expecting a quick-fire from him. In this type of pitch a 30-40 runs innings is sometimes more valuable than a three or four hours long innings,” Tamim explained.
