Wicket- still a mystery for the Aussies

twitter reacts to bangladesh's historic win over australiaThe second Test match between Bangladesh and Australia will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong on Monday. Team Australia have already reached there to make themselves used to the weather of port city.

Earlier in the first Test match of the series Tigers have managed to snatch a historic win over mighty Australia. Statistics would show that Bangladesh has won the match by a margin of 20 runs but actually the value of this victory is much more than that.

Cricket critics are marking it as the message of the Bangladesh’s ascendancy. But undoubtedly this defeat came as a shock to the Australia team.

If you look at the scorecard of first Test match closely we will find that Australia lost the opening Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur from a position of hope and confidence. At one moment they were 158/2 and there were two well-set batsmen in the middle.

Target of 265 were seaming very much attainable. But the situation turned miraculously courtesy to Shakib Al Hasan’s fifer. Besides that Tigers have to give the credit to the pitch of Mirpur.

The unpredictable nature of the pitch is still confusing to the visiting team. Even before the second Test match the team management are thinking a lot to choose their best eleven. And now they have decided to have a close look to pitch before choosing the best eleven.

If the pitch for the second Test, in Chittagong, will remain the same, Australia could field three spinners and one seamer!

Darren Lehmann the coach of visiting team stated – “Once we get there we will take a look at the wicket and the conditions and whether we change that or go with one quick or two quicks or three spinners.”

“You are not going to have too many overs bowled by the quicks as the game goes on. We expect the same sort of pitch. And that’s fine, it is what you expect here.” – Lehmann added.
