Overlooked by the selectors, Anamul Haque Bijoy kept going with his good form in batting all through the domestic season but yet to gain a spot even in the ‘A’ team. In the just completed National League, Bijoy hammered a fine double hundred, said he has no regrets whatsoever and the decision of the board comes first to him always. In an interview with one of the online news portals, Anamul Haque said, “Board is like our guardian. They do whatever they think good for cricket in Bangladesh team. I have nothing to say and no regret at all.”
Anamul Haque wishes to perform well in the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League also, “Now BPL is coming, and I wish to do well over there as well. I’m preparing myself to serve in anywhere BCB might call me.”
About his double hundred in the national league, Bijoy said, “Yes, I had a target. I’ll try to play well in wherever I play. National league is a very important place for us. I’ve played well in some of the matches and could not perform in some of them also from which I learned. After all, I tried to contribute for my team as much I could.”
In the fifth season of the Bangladesh Premier League, Anamul Haque Bijoy played for Chittagong Vikings.
