Visiting Ireland ‘A’ team has been outsmarted by Bangladesh ‘A’ in the third match of the five match one day series; the hosts claimed a bulky 8 wicket win with 27 overs to spare.
Ireland ‘A’ team won the toss and decided to bat first. But failed to bank on their decision amidst reigning of host bowlers. They lost 6 wickets in just 54 runs playing first 20 overs.
Abu Hider Rony picked up top 3 wickets. In the seventh wicket partnership, Andre and Shaun restricted the Irish downfall for a while.
Andre fulfilled his half century and scored highest 52 runs while Shaun scored second highest 23 runs.
Ireland was ultimately bundled out scoring 103 runs in 35.4 overs.
Sunjamul Islam and Tanvir Haider captured 2 wickets each while Abu Hider Rony picked up 3 for 29 runs.
Chasing the easy target of 104 runs, Bangladesh ‘A’ lost 2 wickets that of Anamul Haque (20) and Sadman Islam (24) but reached into the target with ease steered by a 38 ball 41 run innings by Shanto.
Al – Amin scored an unbeaten 14. Bangladesh is now leading the series 2-0. The last two matches of the series are scheduled to take place on 25 and 26th of October respectively.
