Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced fifteen-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa. BCB has announced the squad only a day before the second Test match which is going to start from tomorrow. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার বিপক্ষে বাংলাদেশ ওয়ানডে দলে চমক]
Tigers are now on a month-long tour of South Africa. Along with two Tests and two T-20I matches, three-match ODI series are also scheduled to be played between the host and the visitors. The first ODI match will take place on 15th October while the rest of the two matches will be played on 18th and 22th October respectively.
The selectors have picked up a quite expected squad for the three-match ODI series. The captain of Bangladesh’s shorter format Mashrafe bin Mortoza has joined the squad expectedly. Another regular face of the Bangladesh team who has recently taken a temporary rest from Test cricket is also back for the ODIs. Nasir Hossain has also made a comeback for the ODI after a long break. Saif Uddin is the only new face.
Along with the skipper Bangladesh’s squad has four regular pacers. There is no specialist spinners in the squad and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shakib Al Hasan will have to play that role. Mominul Haque is included in the squad 3 hours later after announcing ODI squad for the South Africa tour.
