Whatever pleasing circumference they have against the visitors, the Proteas are rather watchful for the series about to start in Bloemfontein.

South Africa’s T20I captain JP Duminy delivered expectations of facing a good check from Bangladesh with hopes of mauling them as well.

In the post-match press briefing, Duminy said, “I think there will be a better contest in the T20I series. The two teams become closer when the durability of match is shorter. Bangladesh is a dangerous side. There could be well deserved fight in the T20I series.”

“Our target is the win the T20I series in full margin like the Test and ODI series. Hope I will be able to win a series as a captain now,” Duminy said.

The home team captain also said they want to concentrate on their owns rather than the opponent.

He thus said, “Bangladesh could be tougher regarding they have nothing to lose now. On the other hand it might also happen that they are already apt to go back home. But we are thinking about what we are going to do, 2-0 is our goal in the series.”

Confident about team performers, JP Duminy also said, “It is never been like that that you come and win everything. Of course we are confident. I believe, we have quite capable performers to win the series. We also know winning easily would be difficult. The opponent has some world class players. We might take advantage from the injury troubles in the opposition camp. On the other side of the scenario, this provides opportunities for young cricketers to prove themselves.”

The two match T20I series between Bangladesh and South Africa is kicking off within several hours from now on at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

Bangladesh played their first Test against South Africa this season in the ground and suffered a heavy defeat at the end.

Following the white wash of the two match Test series, the home team clean swept the Tigers in the three match one day international series as well.

Bangladesh premier opener Tamim Iqbal Khan has returned to the country with his ailing knees right after the ODI series.

South Africa is also suffering from injury troubles. Faf du Plessis, Wayne Parnell and Morne Morkel have all been thrown out of the contest due to injuries.
