First match between Bangladesh 'A' and Ireland 'A' abandoned The first of the five match one day series between Bangladesh ‘A’ and Ireland ‘A’ have been washed out by sudden downpour in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.

The second match of the series will be held on 19th of this month at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium.

Ireland ‘A’ won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 229 runs losing all their wickets with five balls to spare in the innings.

Terry scored highest 65 runs and Barry added second highest 39 runs for Ireland ‘A’. For Bangladesh ‘A’, Abu Hider Rony, Abul Hasan and Subashis Roy took 2 wickets each.

The match was stopped in the 14th over of Bangladesh innings when the home team scored 75 runs losing 3 wickets. Later the officials called off the match.

Zakir Hasan scored highest 35 runs for Bangladesh ‘A’. McCarthy claimed 2 wickets for Ireland ‘A’.
