The latest inclusion in the list of wounded cricketers is wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim who hit a marvelous knock of unbeaten hundred in the first one day international match on Sunday in Kimberly.
Mushfiqur’s presence in the second ODI of the series has become uncertain due to a hamstring pull during the last match.
Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, “Mushfiqur pulled his hamstring. We cannot say anything further. We will have to visit to Cape Town to know further about the nature of the injury.”
Meanwhile young pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman will not be able to participate in any of the matches further in South Africa.
Skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza informed about the nature of the injury of Mustafizur saying he would be sidelined for rest of the ODI series; the cutter master is under the risk of missing of T20I series as well.
Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin said, “So far we have observed, Mustafizur will have to be out of the team for the whole one day series.”
Opener Tamim Iqbal was out of the first ODI due to injury. Bangladesh, after being clean swept by South Africa in Test series, was overshadowed by the home team in the first ODI match.
