Everyone was hopeful that Tigers would comeback strongly in the last Test match of the series. But the Mushfiqur Rahim led side again disappointed the fans with a poor batting display as they managed to score only 147 runs in the first innings of the second innings.
However, Litton Das was exceptional among the Bangladeshi batsmen as he picked up a brilliant half-century under pressure.
The young batsman later on explained the side’a poor batting and tried to defend his fellow team mates at the post-day press conference.
He was if the pitch was too difficult to bat on. “No, it was nothing like that. As I said, you only need one ball to get out. Wicket was easy. But it needs one ball to get out. Sometimes mistakes happen,” he explained.
He added, “You have to understand that we have come here after 10 years. We are not used to playing in these conditions. Although it is not right to give an excuse like that, but even so it is in the back of our minds. Maybe we just couldn’t do it. We are a better team than this, hopefully next innings we will play better.”
