Tamim got injured during the three-day practice match before the start of the Test series. Despite of the injury, he played in the first Test and as a result of that his injury got worse. He couldn’t take part in the 2nd Test match and was also in doubt for the ODI series.
But good news is Tamim has started to recover faster than expected and he has batted in the nets on Wednesday. Though he still remains in doubt for the practice match, he will still be available for the ODI series.
Team Manager Minhajul Abedin said to a reporter: “Tamim batted in the nets today. Its not decided yet whether he will take part in tomorrow’s practice match or not. We will decide it tomorrow morning. But I hope he can play the ODI series.”
Bangladesh will play the practice match on Thursday at Bloemfontein and the ODI series will begin on 15th October.
