After a disappointing show in both the Test and ODI series, all eyes will be on the new T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan who will be looking to turn around the fortune. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ “যত বেশি চিন্তা করব, তত বেশি ঝামেলা!”]
Shakib appeared in the press conference and he said he wants his team-mates to give their best shot: “There is a benefit in T20 that if one or two bowlers can bowl well or if one or two batsman can bat well, then the team can win the match. I will never say that it is easy. South Africa is always a tough place. As we have nothing to lose, I think this is our chance. I want everyone to perform and I know everyone will try but its nothing like that everyone will succeed to perform well.”
Key players will be missed in the T20I series but Shakib wants to fight with what he has: “Many are suffering from injuries. We don’t have a different T20I Team. We have 14 players, we have to pick best XI from it. If we perform well after all the losses, it will help us to boost our confidence.”
The number one all-rounder also informed that he doesn’t want to think much and just want to enjoy the game: “The more I will think, the more it will create problems. In these two matches, we have to perform as an unit. T20 is a very short format, there is no time to think here. This is a good thing for us. In Test and ODI, there remains a lot of time to think. The more you will think, the more it will create complications. If we take it easy, then its possible to perform well.”
The first T20I between Bangladesh and the South Africa will be at the Bloemfontein on Thursday and the 2nd T20I will be on 29th October at Potchefstroom.
