Defending champions Dhaka Dynamites have taken a sweet revenge with Sylhet Sixers after they lost their first match with them. The way Sylhet dominated at their home, Dhaka didn’t fail to do the same at their home too.
He said: “We always expect performances like this from Afridi. That’s why we picked him. I hope he will perform in every match. I know that won’t happen, but we can turn in around in any situation.”
Shakib also informed that he depends on the bowling unit more than batting: “I think bowling is more important than batting, especially in T20. There is Afridi-Narine, there is Rony too. We have a good combination. Batsman can’t perform well every time. But the bowling unit is our main strength.”
On the other hand, Sylhet Sixers skipper Nasir Hossain said this loss has shaken up their confidence: “Obviously, our confidence has gone down a bit. Momentum is the most important thing in cricket. We want to fightback in the next match with that momentum.
Nasir blames the poor start for the defeat: “Our momentum was bad right from the beginning. We didn’t start well in the first 6 overs. A good start is important for everyone. In the first three matches, we won because we had a good start. In this match it didn’t happen and that’s why we couldn’t score runs.”
