Defending champion Dhaka Dynamites’ batsmen broke the shackles recording a fabled win against Khulna Titans in the penultimate delivery of the innings, registered 4 wicket win at the Sher – e – Bangla National stadium in Dhaka a little while ago.
Carlos Brathwaite, after a superb batting effort, received the trust of the captain of the Titans to deliver the strangled last over of the match when Dynamites needed 6 runs in 6 balls.
He almost saved the match but Dyanamites’ wicket keeper went through an unbeaten 45 runs accompanied by Mosaddek Hossain’s fine cameo of 14 runs made all the effort of Titan’s bowlers in vain when the fifth ball of the 20th over went for a four and the defending champion received all the runs they needed to win the match.
Pollard hit 6 sixes and 3 fours on the way to his 24 ball 55 runs. Pacer Shafiul Islam brought Khulna Titans in the game but could not make the last laugh.
In the first half of the match, West Indies’ World Cup star Carlos Brathwaite stormed into the half century taking Khulna Titans along with him to stead passed 150 run mark in the aftermath of losing 4 wickets in 71.
