Fully fit Tamim ready to play in BPL

During the South Africa tour, Tamim Iqbal got injured during the practice match. That injury made the opener suffer for a long time.

Though at first Tamim thought the injury wasn’t serious and played in the first test but then got sidelined again in the 2nd test and also the first ODI. After he played the 2nd ODI, that injury again haunted him back for which Tamim had to fly back to Bangladesh and couldn’t play any more matches in the South Africa tour.

Tamim couldn’t play the first few matches of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) too. Comilla Victorians have already played three matches. Before the start of the tournament, Tamim informed he will play in BPL only when he will become fully fit.

Finally Tamim has recovered from his injury and he is now ready to play tomorrow for Comilla. Interestingly so, Tamim’s BPL will start against his home team Chittagong Vikings.

In the first three matches, Mohammad Nabi captained the side in the absence of Tamim. He might lead the side from tomorrow.

Tamim said about his return to country’s one of the leading online portal Bdnews: “Now I don’t have any problem. I am fully fit. I could have played the last match too, but I didn’t want to take any kind of risk. I am having regular contact with national team’s physio. I have got a green signal from him.”
