I think I should say sorry: Mashrafe

The highlight of the match between Rangpur Riders and Chittagong Vikings was not Vikings’ outstanding performance but the heated battle between Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Subashis Roy.

It came much to a surprise when Mashrafe played one of Subashis’ yorker and said him to go back and bowl again, in reply Subashis got heated up and charged his senior national team-mate Mashrafe and exchanged some words until some players came and stopped them.

When Mashrafe was going back after the press conference, one of the reporter said: “Maybe, it was the only thing left for you to see, a local cricketer misbehaving with you.”

Mashrafe replied with a smile: “The boys are becoming smart. Good to see.”

It is no need to mention that the senior cricketer was hurt by the action. During the press conference it was also the first thing that was asked to Mashrafe. 

He said: “It was nothing serious. Things like this happens at crucial moments. I think, I should say sorry to him. Its part of cricket. He is maybe right from his point of view. He wants to win, I want to win too.”

He added: “As he is younger than me, I should have kept myself cool. I don’t know what he should have done. But as a senior cricketer, I should have stayed calm.”

When fans all over the world is furious over Subashis, here Mashrafe  himself feeling sorry about what he did. The skipper of Bangladesh has again proved why he gets respected so much. Now all eyes will be on Subashis to see what he has to say.
