“I’m lucky, I won’t have to play against Chittagong. But I hope people here will provide support for me in whichever team I play. And after all, it is nice that Bangladeshi spectators always back fine cricket,” Tamim Iqbal said.
Comilla Victorians is fighting for nothing but the title, quipped Tamim; “Yes, every team thinks about the championship. We have built up the team to be the champion. But it would hard if we think from now on. We will have to qualify in top four first of all and then the target is to seal the final. Title will come afterwards.”
The Comilla Victorians’ skipper denied any sort of complacency after winning five consecutive matches; he said, “I don’t find any scope of being complacent. Cricket is game of uncertainty. We won five successive matches, next three matches might go wrong. So there is no chance of being relaxed. We have to carry the momentum now.”
